The Texas A&M Center for Applied Technology (TCAT) develops enabling
technologies for a variety of customers including numerous federal agencies,
commercial corporations, non-profit organizations, and other TAMU/TAMUS centers
and departments. TCAT is a research center within the Texas A&M Engineering
Experiment Station and is located in the Center for Infrastructure Renewal
(CIR) building on the RELLIS campus.
TCAT is looking to fill a part-time undergraduate/graduate student
position with a focus on design and development of custom software solutions
using the Unreal Engine. Specific activities include:
§ Using game
engine frameworks to create game systems and features (i.e., using Blueprint)
§ Assisting
with asset modeling, shading/material assignment, rigging, and animation
§ Design/construction
of environments
§ Testing and
documentation of developed solution
§ Staying
current with the latest advancements in the Unreal Engine
Candidates must have proven experience with use of Unreal Engine and
have strong portfolio of example work. Candidates must also have good oral and
written communication skills.
