spots open up this coming year in Emeryville, CA
Pixar will assist with the relocation living
expenses for the summer. And
they offer full benefits while employed. It’s a 12=week long full-time on-sire
internship.

Classroom-Based InternshipsDirect mentorship and training in a hands-on classroom environment
- Animation A twelve-week summer course for those interested in a career in character animation and performance
- Story A twelve-week summer course for those interested in a career in the visual storytelling process through creating storyboards
- Pixar Undergraduate Program (PUP) A twelve-week summer course in technical direction for those interested in pursuing a career as a Technical Director
- LayoutA twelve-week course for those interested in a career using cinematic language and techniques through the layout process
Residencies
- Up to one-year terms available in Technical Direction, Software Research & Development, and Story
- Eligible for full benefits and relocation assistance
- Recent graduates from a bachelor's, master's or PhD program
- Terms start in winter or summer, coinciding with school graduation dates
Qualifications
In addition to a traditional academic path, Pixar recognizes that obtaining skills and knowledge can take different forms of life experience and has expanded intern qualifications:
- Traditional Academic Paths
Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or have graduated within one year from the start of the internship
- Less Traditional Professional Paths
Career Transition: Those with a minimum of 5 years post-collegiate graduation professional experiences in a work/academic environment that differs vastly from animation, VFX, gaming, and other computer graphics-focused industries
Armed Forces: Those who have served in the armed forces and are in a retraining program
Home Schooled: Those who are self-taught via an alternative educational path
