Student Graphic Design Position

Make Us Look Good! 

The University Writing Center is looking for an experienced and talented student designer to create promotional and educational materials for print and digital. 

This position begins Spring 2024, and the starting salary is $15/hr. 

Under the guidance of a UWC administrator, our ideal designer will: 

  • Create both promotional and educational materials in a relaxed office with lots of other student workers. 
  • Adapt designs to meet the UWC's needs and appeal to our audience. 
  • Work between 9 and 20 hours a week with you schedule built around your classes. 
  • Use the Adobe Creative Suite products and may be asked to work PowerPoint and other programs. 
  • Earn a great opportunity to add to your medial portfolio. 

The UWC graphic design is required to have: 

  • Knowledge of the Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software programs. 
  • Excellent communication 
  • Knowledge of basic principles and awareness of design fonts and styles. 
  • Samples of previous media work available. 
  • Availability to work as a student until at least December 2024. 

Other details: The position will begin Spring 2024 and the starting salary is $15/hr. Students should be available to work throughout Spring/Fall 2024 and possibly beyond.  Students graduating May 2024 will not be considered.
